Veganuary, f.lux and the cinema.

Downloads1So here in the UK there is this thing called Veganuary = you sign up on their website and receive tonnes of discounts on various vegan items during the month of January. One of the participating restaurant chains is the Handmade Burger Company, where J and I went last Saturday. Ever since I have not been able to stop fantasizing of the bean and sweet potato burger with a mango-ginger chutney I had, so the other day I talked J into going back there with me. After all, two burgers and a bowl of sweet potato fries for less than a tenner – what is there to talk about?

On a completely different note #1: the other day I downloaded f.lux – a free software that makes the light of your computer screen match the time of the day. We all know that staring into your screen until right before bedtime normally does not account for a good nights sleep, so after sunset f.lux turns the strong, blue light from your screen into a warmer, reddish one = easier on the eyes + does not remove the fatigue!

On a completely different note #2: I went to see The Danish Girl the other night — such a great film! I love the actors, the subject matter, Copenhagen, and the fabulous 1920’s clothes they are all wearing. Definitely worth a visit to the cinema!
